About me
My name is Ralph Hope. I’m the CTO of an international tech company.
Life is like yours: busy. Full of emails, meetings and phone calls.
While training for a 100km 24-hour walk, discovered the peace and clarity that long distance walking offers.
Walking long distances does something few other activities can: it pulls back the curtain. You realise how little you actually need, how calm your mind can be, and how false so much of the modern world feels by comparison.
Back in the "real world", everything is urgent but meaningless. On the trail, nothing is urgent, and everything feels meaningful – every step, every sound, every breath of wind. It’s not just exercise. It’s reality.
Once you've felt that stillness – that stripped-down, unfiltered version of life – it's hard not to see the contrast. The trail doesn’t cancel out the boardroom. But it shows you which voice in your head is actually yours. It reminds you what matters, before the noise decides for you.
Come out with me. We’ll walk until the noise drops away — and something quieter, more honest and more you takes its place.
